ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Kara, a self-taught home baker and the face behind Saltwater and Sourdough. I started making sourdough in October 2020 (along with most everyone else in quarantine!) and what started out as a challenge soon became a hobby and more importantly a passion. I couldn't believe that I could mix flour, water and salt and create something so beautiful and delicious.

After baking for family, friends and neighbors for almost a year, Saltwater and Sourdough was born as a way to spread my love of sourdough to all of you!
